We have endeavoured to answer as many of the regularly asked questions here, however if we have missed one do let us know!

Inclusive in rental price

  • Linen and bath towels (Please bring your own beach towels)
  • Starter dishwashing tablets, washing up liquid, 2 x drying up clothes
  • Wi-Fi
  • Smart TV, Dishwasher, Coffee Machine and Hairdryer
  • All heating.

Change Over Day

  • Change over day Saturday to Saturday although it is sometimes possible to change the day during off peak season and for short breaks.

Arrival time 2 pm

  • You are welcome to drop luggage off after 11.30. If the cottage is clean and ready you are welcome to start your holiday. If not you will be advised what time you may return. Cars can be left in the car park at this time giving you freedom to explore Marazion and the beach on foot.

Departure time 10 am

  • You are requested to leave by 10am, unless otherwise arranged, to facilitate cleaning of the cottages for incoming guests.

High chair, Travel Cot, Stair Gate

  • All can be provided on the request at no extra charge
  • Bed linen for the travel cot is not provided.

Washing Machine and Dryer

  • Both cottages have their own washing machine housed in the little stone built sheds outside. There are washing lines for both cottages in their own gardens.

Bikes

  • Bicycles can be stored in the outside sheds.

Dogs

  • Dogs are very welcome at a small charge but please do contact us to discuss.
  • It is appreciated that dogs do not go on the furniture and any fouling of lawns etc. must be cleared up with out delay
  • Cornwall has so much to offer with wonderful cliff and beach walks. There is an open all year beach for dogs just below the cottage. This is glorious at low tide.
  • The beach is a short 4 minute walk away.

What's on

  • There are regular events and in the area for families and couples.

Accessibility Information for Guests

  • Marazion - Please note that the use of wheelchairs or rollators in Marazion is very limited due to the narrow pavements.
  • Trevara Cottage - Trevara is not recommended for guests with very restricted mobility. The cottage features varying levels throughout, requiring guests to navigate steps both up and down.
  • Little Trevara Cottage - Little Trevara has one step leading into the main bedroom. The bedrooms and bathroom are located downstairs, while the living area is accessed via stairs.
  • Please be aware that neither cottage is equipped with fitted disabled bathrooms.

Cancellation and Insurance

  • By making your booking, our agreement is a legal contract. If you have to cancel your holiday we will require written confirmation from the lead member of the party by e-mail, or post.
  • If you have paid a deposit but have opted not to take any insurance, we will endeavour to relet the property on your behalf, if successful you would no longer be liable for the balance of the holiday but 10% of the original booking fee. Please be aware that if we are not able to relet the dates the liability for the full balance of the holiday will be yours.
  • If you have paid in full for your holiday but have opted not to take any insurance, we will again try to relet the property on your behalf, on relet 10% of the original booking fee will be retained to cover administration. Please be aware that no refund can be made if the property is not relet.

Parking

  • Both cottages have their own parking but as described on the website the opening of Praeds Lane to the parking is a tight 6 meters. It is important to negotiate this entrance square on.
  • Please notify us if additional parking is require
  • Please use your allocated parking area
  • Trevara Guests can access the cottage directly from the car park across Trevara garden.
  • Little Trevara guests are requested to retrace their steps back up Praeds Lane, turn right and go the short walk up to the black bollards on Turnpike Hill and turn right into Phillips Court.
  • For both cottages, it is possible to unload luggage quickly at the entrance of Phillips Court (by the bollards on Turnpike Hill) It is a 30 second walk from here. Please be aware of traffic wardens.
  • Payable parking is available in the village including a long stay car park, payable via the app or at the payment machines. The What Three Words for the entrance to the car park is: unopposed.toward.speedily.

Supermarket delivery

  • Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrison
  • It is appreciated that you ensure you are at the cottage to take in your delivery.

Restaurants

  • During the main season it is always advisable to reserve a table in advance.

Pubs

  • Marazion offers a choice of pubs, which are in easy walking distance from the cottages. There are numerous pubs through out the area, which are accessible by a short car journey or bus.

Public Transport

  • There is an hourly bus service to Penzance from the centre of Marazion, which takes approximately 10 minutes.
  • Taxis are available from the main station in Penzance or by request in Marazion.

Reservation and Damage Deposit

  • 30% deposit is required to secure your reservation. The damage deposit is refundable after departure.
